Our Events & Announcements
(Week of 6-1-26)
Women's Sack Lunch Series
Our Women’s Sack Lunch Series begins this Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. This ministry,
which includes time for fellowship and prayer, will meet each week through
August. Everyone brings their own lunch and drink. Click here for the full calendar, details on each session
and to RSVP. Contact Hannah Vaughn if you are willing to host a future meeting
(there is still one week open in July and one in August). While these
usually take place at the home of a MHCOC member, they can also be held at the
church building, a local park, etc.
Singing Night This Wednesday
In place of our normal Wednesday Bible study this week, we will have a special
singing night in the auditorium. We hope you will join us from 7-8 p.m.
Men's Bible Study
A new eight-week men's Bible study begins this Sunday. Join us each week at
9:30 a.m. as we get into a series called Road Rules. Led by a variety of MHCOC
men, the class will cover practical truths for making wise decisions and
staying on track so we can get to our destinations. Contact Dennis
Enix with questions or for more information.
Women's Bible Study
A new eight-week women's Bible study begins this Sunday. Join us each week at
9:30 a.m. as we discuss Habits of Resistance by Elizabeth Woodson. Led by a
variety of MHCOC women, the class will explore how spiritual disciplines draw
us closer to Christ and enable us to resist cultural influences. Pick up your
book and reading schedule in the upstairs adult classroom. Contact Hannah Vaughn with questions or for more information.
Meals with the Master Challenge
On Sunday, Corey Stumne announced a Meals with the Master Challenge. For each
week this summer, Corey is challenging all of you to eat a meal with someone
you don't normally share a table with. This could be another MHCOC
member/family, colleague, friend, neighbor, etc. Click here for
the full announcement.
Carolyn Henley's 90th Birthday
Help us celebrate Carolyn Henley's 90th birthday before Bible study and worship
on Sunday, June 14. We will have cinnamon rolls, donut holes, fruit, coffee,
milk and juice available in the fellowship hall from 8:45-9:20 a.m. The family
requests no gifts, but donations to Camp Neotez in Miss Carolyn's honor are always
welcome.
Nursing Home Ministry
MHCOC sends members to NHC Healthcare every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. We are
currently searching for additional volunteers who could assist with this
ministry (either occasionally or on a regular basis). If you are able and
willing to visit with these nursing home residents, contact Paul Lombardo and Bruce Mohr.
