Jesus taught with great wisdom
Israel was filled with teachers, but none drew the crowds that Jesus did. And when he taught, he astonished those who listened with his wisdom. A great example of his wise teaching is found in The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) From his simple but compelling Beatitudes that described a blessed life (Matthew 5:3-12) to his argument that sin begins not with an action, but with a longing (Matthew 5:27-28), Jesus' simple teachings rang true. He helped people see the folly of worry (Matthew 6:25-27) and helped them discern between teachers who helped others and those who used others (Matthew 7:15-20). And when he spoke, his words echoed with authority.
